Meribel, France
Meribel is situated in the Savoie region of the French Alps. Together with Val Thorens, Les Menuires, La Tania and Courchevel, Meribel is at the heart of the world renowned 3 Valleys (Les Trois Vallees) ski area.
Some of the factors behind the resorts selection for the 1992 Winter Olympics include the fact that the ski area is larger than any other in the world and that the high altitude slopes enjoy consistently good snow conditions.
Resort Facilities
Meribel comprises a number of peaceful hamlets, which surround the charming village centre. The bustling town contains a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. The resort also benefits from great facilities for non-skiers and children, and a number of its mountain restaurants can be easily accessed by pedestrian lifts.
Ski Area
With over 600km of pisted runs, it is difficult for even the most advanced skiers to tire of the 3 Valleys. The lift system is state of the art and the links to the neighbouring resorts of Courchevel and Val Thorens are excellent. Owing to its perfect location in the centre of the 3 Valleys, Meribel is an ideal choice for those who like the idea of exploring the variety of runs and off piste challenges in any direction.
“ The jewel in the crown of the 3 Valleys - incredible skiing with an authentic village atmosphere. ”
